About this experience

Embark on a full-day tour of Jaipur, immersing yourself in the city’s rich heritage and culture.

Begin at Amber Fort, located 12 km from Jaipur, once the capital of the Kachwaha clan. Ascend through five gates to the Suraj Pol (Sun Gate) for panoramic views, and explore the Amber Palace’s intricate Hindu-Mughal architecture, built by Raja Man Singh in the 17th century. Next, visit the Anokhi Museum in a restored haveli, showcasing Rajasthani block printing and textile craftsmanship. Continue to the 16th-century Panna Meena Step Well, a unique architectural marvel with crisscrossing stairs and octagonal gazebos, perfect for photography and local lore.

Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, explore Jaipur’s Pink City, starting with the City Palace and its Mubarak Mahal, home to the Textile and Costume Museum. Take a Royal Grandeur Tour of Chandra Mahal (subject to permission) before visiting Jantar Mantar Observatory, the Albert Hall Museum, and concluding with a drive past the iconic Hawa Mahal, or “Palace of the Winds.”

Frequently asked questions

Amber Fort is open daily except for certain public holidays, from sunrise until sunset. The City Palace is open daily but may have restricted access on certain days for special events. The Anokhi Museum and Café are closed on Mondays, major national and local holidays, and during exhibition changeovers or maintenance. It’s best to verify their schedule in advance to ensure your visit aligns with their open days.

You need to book a tour at least 3 working days in advance. Bookings made with less than 3 days' notice may not receive immediate confirmation and will be subject to availability.

More than 3 days before the tour: A 20% cancellation fee will be charged. Within 3 days of the tour: No refund will be applicable.

Requests for changes to the tour itinerary or participant details made more than 3 days before the tour may incur additional costs and are subject to availability.

We include pick up/drop off from all hotels within the main city limits of Jaipur. There would be extra charges if hotels are on the outskirts/neighboring cities. We prefer hotel pick ups and drops as it allows the tour to start and end in a seamless, structured way. Our guides always like to brief guests in advance of a tour and having this in their hotel is always preferable than for instance, a noisy place outdoors. We will meet in the hotel lobby of the hotel. Pick up and drop off times will vary based on the season. Please note that the drop-off time may vary depending on the crowds and traffic conditions. Pick ups are generally 9 am and drop-off is around 4:30pm

Visitors should dress modestly, wearing long pants and sleeves and women are required to cover their heads.
